Main Dishes

La Lunita has a variety of pork, beef, and chicken dishes, both traditionally and uniquely prepared.

Fillet of Fish A La Talla Guerrero Style — grouper, green beans, light black bean sauce
a la talla: Preparation based on comal roasted chiles and mayonnaise, cooked on the grill.

Chaya Wrapped Fish Fillet — grouper, chile xcatik and lima sauce, burned and creamed sweet corn
Chaya: Plant with soft green leaves, similar to spinach.
Lima: Regional citric, less acidic than lime.

Tuna Montadito — truffled potato pure, ancho chile and mezcal sauce
Mezcal: fermented drink from the agave plant with a very distinct taste and aroma.

Jumbo Shrimp Tikin-Xic — salsa x-ni-pec, creamed plantain
Tikin-Xic: achiote– annato, orange colored seed which is ground and made into a condiment paste, very typical of this region.
X-ni-pec: fresh salsa mexicana, prepared with bitter orange and chopped habanero chile.

Coconut Shrimp — dip of salsas, rice, vegetables
